attach your audio file in the chat. We support MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC, and even video files to extract audio from.
Use the sliders to set your desired fade-in and fade-out durations. You can apply just a fade-in, just a fade-out, or both at the same time.
Select Linear for a constant-rate fade or Exponential for a more natural-sounding transition that mimics how we perceive volume changes.
ask Magica to apply Apply Fade your audio, preview the result with the built-in waveform player, then download your faded audio file.
Fine-tune fade-in and fade-out durations independently with 0.1-second precision, giving you exact control over your transitions.
Choose Linear for a steady, constant-rate fade, or Exponential for a natural-sounding curve that matches how human hearing perceives volume changes.
Your audio never leaves your device. All processing happens entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API.

A 1-3 second fade works well for most music tracks. Longer fades are better for ambient or cinematic audio.
Exponential fades sound more natural because they mimic how our ears perceive volume changes. Start with exponential and switch to linear only if you need a mechanical, constant-rate effect.
Podcasts and voiceovers typically need shorter fades (0.5-2s), while music and ambient tracks benefit from longer, gradual transitions.
If you have an audio loop or sample that ends abruptly, even a 0.3-second fade-out can eliminate the click or pop at the end.
This workflow is available through Magica; access and usage follow your Magica plan.
A linear fade changes volume at a constant rate — the volume drops or rises by the same amount each moment. An exponential fade changes volume more gradually at first, then accelerates. Exponential fades often sound more natural because they match how human hearing perceives loudness.
Absolutely. Set the fade you don't need to 0 seconds and only the other fade will be applied. You can also apply both simultaneously.
The tool will warn you if the combined fade durations exceed the audio length. In that case, both fades are automatically clamped to half the audio duration so they don't conflict.
You can upload MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC, M4A files, and even video files (MP4, MOV, WebM) to extract audio from. Output is available as WAV for lossless quality.
