In a recent clip, he referred to both Daniel and myself as good brothers doing work for the ummah (Muslim community). Ali, you stated that if either of us were promoting misguidance, we should be called out publicly. I agree with this sentiment, yet I find it concerning that you have not publicly condemned Daniel's positions despite being aware of the evidence against him.
Uthman was asked about the ongoing dispute and presented it as a neutral affair between two good brothers. This framing is problematic because it fails to acknowledge the serious theological implications of Daniel's statements. Uthman, you have a responsibility to clarify your stance, especially when you are aware of the evidence against Daniel's beliefs. Presenting this as a neutral issue undermines the gravity of the situation.
Muhammad Hijab has also been implicated in this discussion. He has previously stated that he disagrees with Daniel's views, yet he has not publicly defended himself against Daniel's misattributions of kufur beliefs to him. This silence is concerning, as it suggests a lack of accountability in addressing serious theological errors. Muhammad, if you are aware of Daniel's misrepresentations, it is crucial that you clarify your position publicly.
The core issue here is not merely personal disagreements but the fundamental principles of our faith. When influential figures in the Muslim community fail to address clear misguidance, it sets a dangerous precedent. We must prioritize the truth and uphold the teachings of Islam above personal relationships or affiliations.
I urge Ali Dawa, Uthman Ibn Farooq, and Muhammad Hijab to publicly clarify their positions regarding Daniel Hakikachu's statements. It is not enough to remain silent or to present the situation as a neutral affair. The community deserves transparency and accountability from its leaders, especially when serious theological issues are at stake.
