Discover the seven key tools that helped me grow a Skool community to $18,000 per month and generate over $430,000 in revenue. Learn how I use Skool as a funnel, integrate Go High Level for CRM and automation, connect tools with Zapier, and manage operations with Airtable to build a thriving, profitable community business.
In the past 18 months, I launched a brand new Skool community and successfully grew it to generate $18,000 per month. Over this period, I generated more than $430,000 in revenue and even won the Skool Games. In this article, I will share the exact seven tools that enabled me to achieve these results, explaining why I chose each tool and how I use them to build my Skool community business.
These first three tools are essential for every community owner who is serious about using Skool to build a sustainable business rather than just a hobby.
Skool is the foundation of my entire business, but I use it differently than most people. I actually run two Skool communities:
Free Community: This community has 8,800 members. I recommend most people start with a free community unless they already have a large audience. The free community allows you to build an audience on a platform you control and own, unlike social media where you are subject to algorithms.
Paid Community: This community has 250 members, each paying around $99 per month.
Additionally, I offer a high-ticket done-for-you service to generate more upfront revenue.
Traffic is driven primarily from YouTube and Facebook ads into the free community. When people join, they answer membership questions that capture their email and phone number. This information is then pushed into my CRM system for further nurturing.
Inside the free community, I nurture members by providing valuable content and building trust. Conversion mechanisms are then used to move members into the paid community or the high-ticket service.
Skool serves as a funnel to generate leads, nurture them, and build trust at scale before converting them into paying customers.
Skool has limited email capabilities and cannot send text messages, which restricts monetization potential. To overcome this, I use Go High Level as my CRM and marketing automation tool.
Go High Level allows me to nurture members through text and email and run promotional campaigns to convert them into paying customers. Without this tool, I would be leaving thousands of dollars on the table every month.
Nurturing Members: When new members join the free community, their contact information is pushed into Go High Level. I run nurture sequences via text and email to encourage engagement and booking sales calls.
Booking Sales Calls: One nurture sequence alone books close to 200 sales calls every month, providing numerous opportunities to sell the high-ticket service or paid community memberships.
Zapier connects different software tools to automate data sharing and communication. I use Zapier to connect Skool with Go High Level.
When a new member joins the free community and submits their contact details, Zapier automatically pushes this data into Go High Level. This simple two-step automation takes about five minutes to set up and saves hours of repetitive work.
The next four tools are optional but vital to my business. They help me manage operations efficiently and automate critical tasks.
Airtable is a powerful project management and operations tool that functions like a spreadsheet on steroids. It keeps my business organized and provides clarity on performance and fulfillment.
Before using Airtable, my business was chaotic with no clear view of its health or task management. Now, I manage all projects, daily tasks, and client fulfillment in one place.
Airtable dashboards give me insights into community growth, business health, and bottlenecks that need attention to improve and scale the business.
The transcript does not provide details on the fifth and sixth tools, but they are described as optional yet vital to the business.
Similarly, the sixth tool is also essential for my business operations but was not detailed in the transcript.
The seventh tool is a game-changer that automates 80% of the tasks every Skool owner must do to grow their business, including scheduling posts. This tool significantly reduces manual work and helps maintain consistent engagement and growth.
Building a successful Skool community business requires more than just the platform itself. By combining Skool with powerful tools like Go High Level for CRM and automation, Zapier for seamless integration, and Airtable for project management, I created a system that nurtures leads, builds trust, and converts members into paying customers.
This strategic use of seven tools allowed me to grow my community to $18,000 per month and generate over $430,000 in revenue within 18 months. If you are serious about building a sustainable and profitable Skool community, these tools and strategies are essential.
This comprehensive approach ensures that you not only attract members but also engage and convert them effectively, automating much of the process to focus on growth and fulfillment.
