Discover how reducing LinkedIn posts from six to three per week and adopting the Brick by Brick method led to $1.2 million in revenue over 14 months. Learn the four-step system focusing on creating curiosity, storytelling, sparking shares, and starting conversations to attract real buyers and build a predictable revenue channel on LinkedIn.
I used to post six times a week on LinkedIn. While I made decent money, I was exhausted. Then I realized I have free will and decided to cut down to three posts a week. The result? I made $1.2 million in 14 months. Many LinkedIn gurus might say I was doing it wrong, but for me, they were wrong. Today, I want to share exactly what I did because if it worked for me and our Brick by Brick community, it can work for you too.
By the end of this article, three things will happen:
The difference? They stopped trying to be everywhere and started getting strategic.
This system is built on one insight that LinkedIn may not want you to know: the algorithm rewards connection, not content volume. Most people think more content equals more results, but data shows otherwise.
This step focuses on your hook — the first two lines of your post before anyone clicks "see more." LinkedIn wants to keep users on the platform longer to show more ads, so it tracks how many people click "see more." The more clicks, the more LinkedIn shows your post.
To get more clicks, create a "curiosity gap" — something that makes readers think, "Wait, what?" For example, Jonathan's hook was:
"Ditching the washing machine solved our attendance problem."
This unexpected outcome plus specific detail makes people want to read more.
Getting the click is only half the battle. Now you need to keep readers engaged. Use this structure:
Jonathan's story about buying a washing machine to solve absenteeism perfectly illustrates this.
Shares are LinkedIn's second biggest signal after "see more." To get shares, your content must:
Jonathan's post was shareable because it made people look thoughtful, evoked emotion, and offered a useful question for leaders.
Posts don't pay you; conversations do. A post with 100k impressions and zero DMs is worthless. A post with 1k impressions and five qualified conversations could be worth $50,000.
Use the "20 20 20" method:
This daily 15-minute activity can generate 60 new relationships and potentially six clients per month.
Most people quit by week six, but results usually kick in around week 10.
If this sounds like too much work, this method might not be for you, and that's okay. But if you're tired of posting into the void and want to share your expertise to impact more people, this is for you.
I run a cohort called Brick by Brick a few times a year, offering live coaching, accountability, and a community committed to growth and impact. The goal is to help you stop being the best-kept secret and get your expertise out there.
