In a remarkable turn of events, my entire family, who were devout Christians for most of our lives, embraced Islam. This post aims to share my personal story and the reasons behind this significant change in our beliefs.
The journey began when I was around 13 or 14 years old. My father gathered us together and announced, "I became Muslim." This revelation was shocking. I was filled with confusion and fear, questioning whether my father was going to hell for rejecting Jesus. At that moment, I realized I had only been exposed to two paradigms: atheism and Christianity. I had no idea there were other options available.
As I began to explore the concept of religion more deeply, I came to understand that there are essentially three major categories:

I read the Bible and the Quran, watched numerous videos, and engaged in discussions with people from both faiths. I even attended church and mosque services simultaneously, which was a unique experience. My mother, still a Christian, encouraged me to continue attending church, while my father took me to the mosque.
During my research, I established three critical criteria that needed to be met for me to consider converting to Islam:

I realized that the concept was not explicitly taught in the Bible and was primarily derived from the writings of Paul, who had not directly met Jesus. Jesus himself emphasized the oneness of God, stating, "The only true God is the Father."
In contrast, my exploration of the Quran revealed profound insights and miracles that suggested divine inspiration. For instance, the Quran's predictions about future events, such as the construction of the Burj Khalifa, resonated with me as evidence of its authenticity.
A pivotal moment in my journey occurred during a discussion with a scholar who provided a detailed account of the Hadith, illustrating the reliability of the narrators who transmitted the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. This meticulous chain of narration convinced me of the Quran's preservation and authenticity.
It was at that moment, after a year of research and contemplation, that I decided to embrace Islam. I took my Shahada, the declaration of faith, and shortly after, my family followed suit. My father and brother converted immediately, while my mother waited until I took my Shahada before she did.
This journey has taught me that Islam is a faith for everyone, transcending cultural and ethnic boundaries. The Prophet Muhammad was sent as a mercy to all mankind, and anyone can embrace this path.
