Moore Threads Opens a Hong Kong Listing Route, but Not Yet a Deal
Moore Threads has approved a plan to issue H shares and seek a Hong Kong main-board listing after first-half revenue rose 147%. The proposal has no disclosed size, price, timetable or use of proceeds, leaving investors to weigh a fast-growing cloud-products business against continuing losses, cash use and GPU competition.
- Moore Threads has approved a proposed Hong Kong H-share listing, subject to shareholder and regulatory processes.
- Its first-half revenue was RMB 1.736 billion, up 147.42% year on year, but operating cash outflow reached RMB 2.169 billion.
- The board resolution creates an option to raise capital; it does not disclose a deal size, price, timing or use of proceeds.
Moore Threads Technology, a Beijing-based fabless GPU designer founded in 2020, has opened the way for a second equity-market listing less than a year after its Shanghai STAR Market debut. Its board approved a proposed issue of H shares and an application for Hong Kong’s main board on August 7, the company said in the announcement.
That is a corporate plan, not an offering. The company said the intended listing is meant to deepen its international strategy, help attract research and management talent, and strengthen governance and competitiveness. It did not say how much it plans to raise or what any proceeds would fund. The distinction matters because the same interim report that shows a sharp sales rebound also shows the cost and cash demands of building a domestic GPU business.
The proposal still has several gates
Moore Threads’ shares already trade on Shanghai’s Sci-Tech Innovation Board, where it listed in December, as a report notes.
The proposed Hong Kong issue still needs shareholder approval and the relevant filing, approval or clearance procedures involving the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, and the Securities and Futures Commission. Moore Threads said it could choose an issuance window within 24 months after shareholder approval, unless that period is extended.
It is discussing the work with intermediaries, but said the details beyond the board-approved resolutions have not been finalised. The company also warned that the transaction may not clear all of the required review and approval processes. Investors therefore do not yet know the potential dilution, valuation, timetable or whether the offering will be completed.

Moore Threads company-reported first-half revenue and net cash flow from operating activities for 2025 and 2026. .
