Our day begins at the bus stop, ready to catch the number nine bus downtown. It's been a while since we last explored this vibrant area, and I have to renew my bus card at the TriMet office. The forecast hinted at snow, but as we set off, it seems the rain is the only thing we have to contend with today.
After a short wait, the bus arrives, and we hop on. The ride to Pioneer Square takes about 30 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. As we travel, I reflect on how convenient Portland's public transport system is, especially on a rainy day. The bus connects seamlessly with the streetcar, making it easy to navigate the city.
We arrive at Pioneer Square, often referred to as Portland's living room. The square is a hub of activity, and despite the rain, it has its charm. After taking in the sights, it's time to head to my workplace at the Rose Quarter. I board the MAX train, which is conveniently located nearby. The train ride is quick, and I enjoy the views of the city as we travel. The Blazers, Portland's NBA team, are doing well this season, and I look forward to catching a game soon.
Once my work errands are complete, I make my way back to the train station. I realize I haven't had my morning coffee yet, so I stop by Burger King for a quick caffeine fix. The coffee is hot and just what I need to recharge after a busy morning.
