One of the first stops on our journey was Old Dad's General Store, which features a fantastic deli. This spot is a hidden gem for those looking for a quick bite or a unique shopping experience.
We also noticed that Ober Gatlinburg has rebranded itself as Ober Mountain, a change that reflects its commitment to providing an exciting experience for visitors. The area is bustling with activity, and the new taco place under construction promises to add to the diverse culinary scene.
For breakfast lovers, Crockett's Breakfast Camp is a must-visit. They are famous for their enormous cinnamon rolls, which are a treat for anyone starting their day in Gatlinburg. Another great option is Flapjack, known for its hearty breakfast offerings.
During our exploration, we also spotted the Mellow Mushroom, a popular pizza place that we highly recommend. We have always had a good experience there, and it was the perfect spot for our lunch break.
Feeling a bit hungry, we decided to head into the Mellow Mushroom. We ordered their famous artichoke dip, which was absolutely delicious. It was a perfect appetizer to share as we waited for our main course.
Next, we indulged in a house special pizza. The pizza was generously topped and visually appealing, making it hard to resist. Despite the large portion, we enjoyed every bite, although we knew we wouldn't be able to finish it all.
Throughout our day, we encountered various quirky characters and sights that added to the charm of Gatlinburg. From the playful Gatlinburg snow people to the amusing antics of some local characters, there was never a dull moment.
