Hello everyone, this is Uma! I hope you are all doing well. Currently, I am in The Hague, a beautiful city in the Netherlands, preparing to embark on my journey to Germany. I am excited to share my experiences as I travel from one country to another, exploring new cultures and meeting wonderful people along the way.
From The Hague, my first stop is Rotterdam, which is about 20 kilometers away. I will be taking the metro train, which takes approximately one hour. After reaching Rotterdam, I will catch my FlixBus to Germany. The ease of traveling within Europe is remarkable, as there are no border checks, allowing for a seamless transition between countries. This will be my 74th country to visit, and I am thrilled to continue my journey.
I hope you have enjoyed my time in the Netherlands as much as I have. I have covered many important places and learned a lot about the culture here. One of the things I love about traveling is meeting good people, and I have encountered many wonderful individuals in this country. Their kindness and hospitality have made my stay even more enjoyable.
To reach the tram station, I need to walk about half a kilometer from my apartment. The trams here are quite efficient, and I am looking forward to experiencing the public transport system in Rotterdam. The city is known for its stunning architecture, including skyscrapers that create a unique skyline.
During my travels, I want to share an interesting fact about the Netherlands. Philips, a brand that many of us grew up with, originated here. It started in a small shed, and today it is a leading global brand. There is even a museum dedicated to Philips in the southern part of the country, which I hope to visit. This brand has been a significant part of our lives, especially when it comes to light bulbs and televisions.
I have arrived in Rotterdam, and the city is bustling with energy. I have a bus to catch at 8:05 AM, and it is currently 7:30 AM. After arriving, I met my brother, who treated me to some delicious idli, a South Indian dish. It was a delightful meal that made me feel at home. We explored the city together, and I am grateful for the experiences we shared.
As I prepare to leave for Germany, I reflect on my time in the Netherlands. The tour has been successful, and I am thankful for all the support and love I have received from everyone. I hope to finish exploring all the countries on my list soon and return to my family. It is my wish to spend quality time with them after this adventure.
Rotterdam is not only a city of skyscrapers but also has many green spaces. The trams run smoothly through the city, making it easy to navigate. I am curious to see if Germany will have a similar vibe, as Europe tends to have a cohesive feel across its countries.
As I walk towards the tram station, I am filled with excitement for what lies ahead in Germany. Traveling through Europe has been an incredible experience, and I look forward to sharing more stories from my journey. Thank you for joining me on this adventure, and I hope to bring you more updates soon!
