Welcome back to my channel! If you're new here, my name is Trish, and I am a wheelchair user. I created this channel to share my daily life and travel experiences, particularly focusing on accessibility. Today, I’m excited to take on a three-part challenge at Universal Orlando, where I will visit all three parks in one day.
We are currently enjoying our stay at the beautiful Portofino Bay Resort in Orlando, Florida. After several days of fun, today is the day we tackle all three Universal parks. Our plan is to start at Universal Studios, then ride the train over to Islands of Adventure, and finally, we will visit Universal’s Epic Universe, which stays open later than the other parks.
As a wheelchair user, traveling can sometimes be challenging. I always prioritize locations that advertise accessibility, and Universal Orlando has a solid reputation in this regard. I found their accessibility information easy to locate, which is a huge plus for anyone planning a visit.
So far, I have experienced the parks and ranked them based on accessibility:
Despite these challenges, I appreciate that they offered us complimentary tickets to return and try again. I want to give a shout-out to the amazing woman at guest services who listened to my concerns and made my day much better. It’s important for all visitors to feel welcome, and I hope the staff at Epic Universe receives the training they need to improve their service.
Today is a fresh start, and I’m determined to make the most of our time at Universal. We have four days in total, with four days of Park-to-Park access and one day dedicated to Epic Universe. While it may seem excessive, I’m thrilled to be here and ready for the adventure ahead.
As we kick off our day, I’m filled with excitement. Our first stop is the popular attraction, Minion Mayhem. The atmosphere is vibrant, and I can’t wait to experience all the fun rides and attractions that Universal has to offer.
After Minion Mayhem, we head over to Villain-Con. The decor and theme are absolutely adorable, and I’m eager to dive into the experience. The attention to detail in these attractions is remarkable, making it a joy for visitors of all ages.
As we embark on this challenge to visit all three Universal parks in one day, I am reminded of the importance of accessibility in theme parks. My experiences highlight both the joys and challenges of being a wheelchair user in such vibrant environments. I look forward to sharing more about our adventures and the lessons learned along the way. Stay tuned for updates as we continue our journey through Universal Orlando!
