In this blog post, I share my experience playing the rhythm game Rhythm Plus while drinking prune juice. The game proved to be challenging due to its fast pace, confusing visuals, and lag issues. Despite my efforts using thumbs and adjusting settings, I struggled to keep up with the notes and found the background distracting. Ultimately, I decided to quit after multiple failed attempts and technical difficulties.
Hello everybody! Today, I decided to try out a weird rhythm game called Rhythm Plus that I found online. I had seen people playing it before and was curious to give it a shot myself. However, I was not expecting it to be as difficult as it turned out to be.
I wasn’t even sure how to pronounce the name of the game properly, but I was eager to play. I planned to play one round on camera, with the background music volume set very low so it wouldn’t be too distracting.
One important detail: I was drinking prune juice while playing, which I quickly realized was not the best idea. The juice made it harder to focus, and I had to be careful not to spill it everywhere.
I started by tapping the Start button, but accidentally landed in the settings menu. Here, I adjusted several options:
I chose not to disable any graphics settings despite the game suggesting it.
The song I played was unfamiliar to me, and the music sounded somewhat Scottish or unusual. As the game began, I quickly realized how challenging it was to keep up with the notes, especially while using my thumbs to tap the screen.
The game’s interface was confusing at times. For example, I didn’t understand what the red symbols meant or why the game kept telling me I was "off beat." The background visuals were distracting, with dancing characters and other animations that made it hard to focus on the notes.
One of the biggest issues I faced was lag. The game was running slowly and stuttering, which made it nearly impossible to hit the notes accurately. I suspect my Wi-Fi connection was the culprit. This lag added to the frustration, as I kept missing notes even when I thought I tapped correctly.
Playing with thumbs was awkward, but necessary to avoid spilling my prune juice. My hands started to swell from the awkward position, and I found myself in pain. Despite trying to concentrate, I kept missing notes and getting red marks indicating errors.
The game’s fast pace and complex note patterns were overwhelming. I even considered playing a song with only one key to make it easier, but the game didn’t seem to offer that option.
After several attempts and continuous lag, I decided to give up. The game was too difficult to play under these conditions, and the combination of prune juice, lag, and distracting visuals made it an unpleasant experience.
I don’t understand how some players manage to play this game so fast and accurately. Perhaps they don’t experience lag or have better setups.
In conclusion, Rhythm Plus is a challenging rhythm game that requires focus, quick reflexes, and a stable connection. Drinking prune juice while playing is definitely not recommended!
