Despite spending nearly four years in China, she expressed that while it was a good experience for language and cultural immersion, the lack of a clear path to permanent residency made it difficult to envision a stable future there. The couple faced challenges in navigating their relationship due to differing nationalities, which added to their sense of insecurity.
The participant also reflected on her travels to other Asian countries like Thailand and Vietnam. Although she enjoyed visiting these places, she felt they were not suitable for long-term living.
