After spending three hours playing Resident Evil Requiem, including sessions with Leon and Grace, the game impresses with its intense, bloody action and new mechanics. The experience feels like the series has been supercharged, offering a large, challenging world with resource management and skill-based combat. This initial impression highlights the game's depth and excitement without spoiling the story.
Assalamualaikum Ladies and gentlemen, Fahad Sal here. Recently, I had the opportunity to play three hours of the much-anticipated game Resident Evil Requiem. This included an hour and a half with Leon and another hour and a half with Grace. In this article, I will share my initial impressions and reactions to the game without spoiling any story elements, so you can get a sense of what to expect.
Before diving into the details, I want to set the right expectations. Although I have plenty of footage and insights, I am careful not to spoil the experience for you. My goal is to provide a concise overview to help you decide if the game is worth purchasing, especially during Ramadan.
I also want to thank some friends who helped me prepare for this experience: Abdulaziz, known as Butcher from Kuwait, who is a Resident Evil expert and explained the story to me; Hisoo, an OG Resident Evil player; and my friend Ahmed, a YouTuber who also guided me through the game. Playing alongside Ahmed and Hisoo made the experience even more enjoyable as we discussed our reactions.
The best way I can describe Resident Evil Requiem is that it feels like the game went to the gym for three months, took steroids, and came back stronger. The game is massive and combines elements from Resident Evil 2, 7, and 4, but with a grittier, more intense action style.
Playing as Leon, the game is extremely bloody and action-packed. The combat mechanics have been enhanced with new moves and a thicker, more impactful feel to each hit. The visuals are intense, with blood splattering realistically across the environment, adding to the immersive experience.
If you are sensitive to gore, this game might not be for you. The level of violence is high, and the action sequences are brutal and relentless.
Switching to Grace, the gameplay shifts towards resource management and survival. The challenges here are tougher, and I found myself dying multiple times. Managing gas and other resources is critical, and the game punishes mistakes harshly.
Resident Evil Requiem introduces several new mechanics that add depth and skill requirements to the gameplay. There are new combat moves, weapon handling techniques, and tools that players can use strategically.
The game encourages mastering these mechanics to perform complex maneuvers, which will likely be showcased extensively on YouTube as players experiment with different strategies.
The game feels like a fresh, powerful iteration of the Resident Evil series. It combines the best elements of previous titles with new, exciting features that demand skill and strategy.
Despite the intense action and difficulty, the experience is rewarding and engaging. The game’s scale and depth promise many hours of thrilling gameplay.
Resident Evil Requiem is a massive, action-packed game that revitalizes the franchise with new mechanics and a gritty, bloody aesthetic. Whether playing as Leon or Grace, players will find a challenging and immersive experience that pushes the boundaries of the series.
If you are a fan of Resident Evil or action-horror games in general, this title is definitely worth considering. Just be prepared for intense violence and a steep learning curve.
