The story began in October 2021 when Sharon Raj, a 23-year-old student at Medical Mission Christian College, first laid eyes on Greeshma, a 22-year-old pursuing her postgraduate degree in English Literature at Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari. Their initial encounter on a bus blossomed into a romantic relationship, with the two spending significant time together. However, just four months into their relationship, circumstances began to change dramatically.
Unbeknownst to Sharon, Greeshma's family had arranged her marriage to another man, a stable job holder in the army. Despite being in a relationship with Sharon, Greeshma seemed content with her family's choice, viewing her relationship with Sharon as a mere affair. On March 4, 2022, Greeshma got engaged, leading Sharon to distance himself from her. Yet, Greeshma reignited their relationship, promising to elope with Sharon in November.
As their relationship progressed, Greeshma devised a plan to rid herself of Sharon. She fabricated a story about a curse in her horoscope that predicted her first husband's death. Sharon, dismissing her claims as superstitious nonsense, insisted on marrying her immediately.
