Upon purchasing the ID.Buzz from Garnet Volkswagen in Reading, Pennsylvania, we were thrilled. The vehicle's design and features were impressive, and we were eager to take it on a road trip from Pennsylvania to Chicago. However, the excitement quickly turned into frustration due to the charging infrastructure.
One of the significant hurdles we faced was the lack of compatibility with Tesla's supercharging network, which is known for its reliability and extensive coverage. As of now, the ID.Buzz cannot connect to this network, making long-distance travel complicated. During our first road trip, we encountered a snowstorm, which added to the difficulties of finding available charging stations.
