Fal announces Series E and F to expand capacity and custom AI models
Fal has announced Sequoia-led and Bessemer-led funding rounds for its 2027 expansion, adding post-trained media models to an established inference business. The announcements leave the new rounds’ size and comparative serving economics undisclosed.
- Fal announced a Sequoia Capital-led Series E and a Bessemer Venture Partners-led Series F, with Nvidia as a strategic investor.
- The financing will support inference capacity, staff and research in 2027; the announcements give no round sizes or valuations.
- Exclusive post-trained models extend an established hosting business, but comparable costs and enterprise contract terms remain undisclosed.
Fal, a developer platform for running AI image, video and audio models, has announced two funding rounds to support its 2027 expansion. Its pitch now combines the computing infrastructure used to generate media with research that modifies the models customers use.
The financing backs a broader role between AI labs and their business customers. Fal already distributes other developers’ models and hosts enterprises’ own models; commissioned versions available exclusively through fal could make the platform part of a customer’s model choice as well as its computing supplier.
In its announcement, fal said it closed the Sequoia-led Series E earlier this year and was announcing it alongside the Bessemer-led Series F, with Nvidia as a strategic investor. Neither that statement nor Bessemer’s accompanying investment announcement disclosed the amounts raised or valuations.

Returning backers fund the next expansion
Bessemer, the venture firm leading the latest round, said in its investment statement that it first backed fal at Series B and participated in every subsequent round. Its assessment of fal’s technology and market position comes with an existing financial stake.
Sequoia and Nvidia are also returning investors. Fal’s December 2025 announcement named both as new backers of its $140 million Series D. The latest announcement therefore extends those relationships rather than establishing them.
The company says the new rounds will fund inference capacity—the computing needed to run models—and the team developing its next capabilities. It says entertainment studios, advertising agencies, e-commerce brands, game developers and marketing teams now use its models and infrastructure in production pipelines.
