As I often quote in my presentations and workshops, "Education will change more in the next 10 years than it has in the last 100 years." This statement resonates with many educators, as it highlights the significant impact AI will have on teaching and learning. Many educators are still unaware of the possibilities that AI offers, which is why we are here to help.
The webinar series is led by Barend Last Door, Marcel Mutsaarts, and myself, Tom Naberink. Although Barend couldn't join us live today, he has prepared a video to share his insights on using AI in writing.
I will begin by discussing the effect of good prompting. The way we phrase our prompts significantly influences the quality of the AI's responses. For example, a poorly constructed prompt can yield unsatisfactory results, while a well-crafted one can lead to insightful outputs. I will demonstrate this live, showcasing how different prompts can lead to varying levels of detail and relevance in the AI's responses.
Next, Barend will share his experiences with generative AI tools in the writing process. He emphasizes that writing today involves various tools and resources, including AI, which can enhance creativity and productivity. Barend will discuss how he collaborated with AI to write a children's book, illustrating the dynamic interplay between human creativity and machine assistance.
